Schools have a number of suppliers accessing their SIS data to help run their systems (i.e. parental comms, teaching and learning tools) allowing them to take control of what data is accessed.
Account Access
If a school is new to Wonde, they’ll be sent a secure link to create their account. Only an individual who has the ability to authorise access to a school’s SIS data is permitted.
App Dashboard
When a school logs into Wonde, they’re taken to a dashboard of their apps pending and approved apps. Selecting an app allows a school manage the settings available.
Data Request
Apps that use Wonde only request the exact data they need from from a school’s SIS … we call these ‘permissions’. Depending on the app, there may be optional permissions which schools can turn on/off depending on their requirements.
Approval Process
When a school is happy with the data requested by an app, they simply approve access and agree to Wonde’s and the app’s Data Handling Agreement and the apps agreement if included.
Paper Trail
Email receipts are sent to admin account holders at a school at the point of approving or declining access to an app. Receipts details the permissions granted, who approved them, their position and the date/time they were approved.
SIS Integration
Once a school has agreed to the permissions requested of their first app, it’s time for Wonde to integrate with their SIS . An online booking system is available to choose a time convenient for one of our team will be in touch.
Managing Individuals
When a school’s Wonde integration is complete, data of individuals can be restricted on an app-by-apps basis.
Data Protection & GDPR
To comply with the GDPR, all schools are required to have a clear understanding of their supplier processes and take control of their school data. Wonde provides the tools to ensure schools are in complete control and have clarity of what data is being accessed by third parties.
